1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information: We may collect personal information that you provide directly to us, such as when you register for an account, submit a design request, post a service, or contact us. This may include your first and last name, email address, age, and any other information you choose to provide.

1.2 Usage Data: We may automatically collect certain information about your visit to the Website, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the time and date of your visit. This information helps us analyze how the Website is used and improve its functionality.

1.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on the Website. Cookies are small data files that are placed on your device and help us remember your preferences and track your interactions with the Website. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

1.3.1 WP Job Manager: This site adds the following cookies to help users resume job submissions that they have started but have not completed: wp-job-manager-submitting-job-id and wp-job-manager-submitting-job-key

1.3.2 Complianz: This website uses the Privacy Suite for WordPress by Complianz to collect and record Browser and Device-based Consent. For this functionality, your IP address is anonymized and stored in our database. This service does not process any personally identifiable information and does not share any data with the service provider. For more information, see the Complianz Privacy Statement.

1.3.3 Akismet: We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet Anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

1.3.4 Ultimate Member: Uses forms for user registration, login and profiles. Via these forms we are collecting personal data from your users such as (first name, last name, email address, confirmation of being 18 years of age, and a description of skills if applying for a designer role.) This personal data is captured when someone submits/fills in one of the forms in order to create a profile, send email updates when contacted by another member or when DesignedLocally.com publishes changes or updates to the website. Registered user information is retained in your our database indefinitely. Your data can be exported within an account or removed when an account is deleted. Ultimate Member and DesignedLocally.com does not send any user data outside of DesignedLocally.com by default.

1.4 Contact forms: DesignedLocally.com uses a contact form plugin. When you submit a contact form, we may collect the following information: Your name, Your email address, Any additional information you choose to provide in the message and subject fields. We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

1.5 Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

1.6 How long we retain your data: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. See section 1.3.4.

1.7 Embedded content from other websites: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

2.1 Promotional Emails
By providing your email address through our contact form, you may receive promotional emails from us. If you prefer not to receive these emails, you can opt out at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in the emails or by contacting us directly at admin@designedlocally.com.

3.5 Your comments, design request form entries, designer service post entries and other media shared through this platform may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for protecting your personal information.

4.1 Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
